I am a solo practitioner who has been in practice since 1986, combining a large firm pedigree with the personalized service that comes with a smaller firm practice. The first half of my career was spent at two large downtown San Francisco international law firms, Graham & James (now Squire Dempsey) and Sonnenschein Nath & Rosenthal. The second half of my career has been spent in solo practice.
I have practiced in a wide variety of substantive areas, including real estate and land use, insurance coverage and bad faith (insurer and insured), first party insurance coverage and fraud investigations (SIU), employment discrimination and wrongful termination, professional negligence, wrongful death, personal injury and probate litigation.
I did my undergraduate studies at Princeton University and the University of California at Berkeley, graduating from Berkeley Phi Beta Kappa in 1981. I have done post-graduate work at the Monterey Institute of International Studies and went to Hastings College of the Law, graduating in 1986 in the top 1.5% of my class, was a member of the Hastings Law Review, the Order of the Coif and the Thurston Society.
